PIZZA WARS!

Thirsty Pagan Brewing Co.!  Congratulations to Thirsty Pagan on being voted the 2017 SBID Pizza War Champion!

The SBID Pizza Wars is a friendly competition among restaurants in the SBID to vie for who makes the “most Superior Pizza.” Five restaurants participated in the 2017 contest by entering in special pizzas for customers to try and vote for their favorite during the month of August.

Participating restaurants and entries included:

Gyro Pizza: A delicious mix of gyro meat, onions and special sauce.

Sammy’s on Tower – 1908 Tower Ave.  715-395-0018
Nick’s Special: Juicy chicken, crispy bacon, fresh spinach, tomatoes, mozzarella and parmesan cheeses with a buttery garlic sauce.

Sclavi’s Italian Restaurant & Bar – 1106 Tower Ave.  715-531-5600
Pizza Presto!: A Sclavi’s signature riff on Napolitano style pizza, the O.G. of pizza, but done in a carnival fashion with a 2 way crust that is deep fried, flame grilled and then topped with San Marzano tomatoes and classic Napolitano toppings.

Pulled Pork Pizza: Starting off with house-made chipotle aioli sauce, topped with BBQ pulled pork, green peppers, onions, mozzarella and cheddar cheeses. Once cooked, it’s topped with coleslaw.

Mom’s Best Spaghetti and Meatballs Pizza: Al dente spaghetti with diced meatballs and a sprinkle of shredded mozzarella.

Free Shuttle for Superior 4th of July Celebration

The Superior Business Improvement District sponsored a school bus shuttle from the Business Improvement District to Barker’s Island during the 4th of July festivities.  The school bus shuttle ran in a continuous loop from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m., making stops at the Belknap Plaza and the Municipal Lot behind VIP on Banks Avenue (the new Farmer’s Market Location) with a drop-off/pick-up at the entrance of Barker’s Island.

Dads & Grads

June was the month for celebrating Dads & Grads. Shoppers were encouraged to think outside the “tie” and shop the SBID for great gifts whether dad is into the outdoors, cars, craft beer and so much more!  SBID businesses have great gift ideas for any grad as well as food and floral to help plan for grad parties or just a special night out.

 

Mayhem! – Mother’s Day, Mark Downs and More in the SBID!

PLUS, Selfies for the WIN!  

Customers had the opportunity to win prizes while doing selfies while they shopped SBID businesses during the month of May

FREE Trolley Rides During Superior Night at Homegrown Music Festival

The SBID sponsored FREE trolley rides during Superior (Souptown) Night during the Homegrown Music Festival. On Thursday May 4th, the trolley ran between Homegrown venues including The Thirsty Pagan, Spirit Room, Cedar Lounge and the Main Club from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.
