The upcoming Blatnik Bridge Replacement Project will have significant impact on our city and business community. The SBID has taken on an advocacy role with the project to ensure that our businesses are well prepared and informed for all stages of the project. To that end, the SBID has been working to form relationships with business, transportation and government leaders in both Wisconsin and Minnesota to ensure our District is well represented and engaged in the process. The SBID will be providing regular communication to stakeholders and the community regarding the project status.

Hard Hat Happy Hours: The SBID/Twin Ports Business Alliance are hosting Hard Hat Happy Hours at the Cedar Lounge/Earth Rider, 4-6 pm, the first Monday of each month beginning October 5, 2026. This will be a chance to connect with DOT for updates on the project. All are welcome to join these Happy Hours! Learn more!
Coffee & Tea with the DOT: The SBID will host a monthly series with the DOT on the 3rd
Wednesday of each month, beginning October 21; 9am at 1401 Tower, 3rd Floor Ballroom. The DOT will present current updates on the Blatnik project, followed by a presentation by the SBID or other entities related to the project followed by Q&A. The event is FREE and all community members are welcome to attend. Learn more!
Public Meeting/Open House: The SBID will continue to partner with the DOT and other organizations to bring regular status updates to the community. Stay tuned for more details on the next opportunity.
Marketing Resource Fairs: The SBID has hosted a series of Marketing Resource Fairs, in March and September 2026. With Blatnik construction looming, it’s crucial for businesses to update their marketing and promotion game! Look for more information on 2027 events TBA soon!
