Think outside the (snow)box and join businesses across Superior for one of the most creative and community-spirited activities of the Lake Superior Ice Festival — the Snow{less} Snowman Business Contest!
This fun and lighthearted contest sponsored by Superior Parks & Rec invites local businesses and organizations to build a snowman without using snow or ice, using materials, colors, products, and personality that represent your business. Snowmen will be displayed outside your business during the Lake Superior Ice Festival on January 30 & 31 and kept on display through February 6, encouraging the community to explore participating businesses and vote for their favorites.
To give everyone a little extra time to participate, the entry deadline has been extended to Wednesday, January 15!
Why participate?
- Show off your creativity and business pride
- Get featured on the Ice Festival website, digital map, and social media
- Drive foot traffic to your business during and after the festival
- Be eligible to win fun prizes — including food spreads your team will love!
Quick details:
- Entry fee: $25
- Snowmen must be handmade, freestanding, 2–6 feet tall, and include lighting
- Community voting runs January 30 – February 6 via QR codes at each display
We hope you’ll join us in adding some extra fun, creativity, and local flavor to the Ice Festival this year. Full contest rules, examples, and the entry form can be found by clicking the button below or by visiting the Ice Festival website.
