2024 Storm Drain Art Project

The Storm Drain Art Project is a program that uses art as a tool to communicate stormwater pollution prevention messaging. Storm drain murals are original designs created by artists and are the artist’s interpretation of stormwater pollution prevention.

Most storm drains in the city direct stormwater from our streets to our streams, and eventually Lake Superior. The storm drain messaging helps to keep things like garbage and pet waste from entering storm drains.

To participate, click here to submit the application form and samples of your work. Submission deadline is May 24.

For more information, download the flyer or visit the project facebook or web page, or contact Megan Hogfeldt at hogfeldtm@superiorwi.gov or call 715-394-0392 ext. 1033.

The City of Superior Environmental Services Division will be leading the 2024 Storm Drain Art Project with support from the NW WI Lung Health Alliance and in part by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts.
