DO YOU MAKE THE MOST “SUPERIOR” PIZZA IN THE DISTRICT?
Calling all SBID Restaurants, Bakeries and Bars! We know our District has the best pizza in the region, now it’s time to prove it. Join your fellow SBID businesses in a friendly competition to crown the best pizza in the District!
New for 2023: To expand competition, we are now offering two categories – Traditional or Non-Traditional Pizza. This allows more businesses to join the fun and levels the playing field. Voting will now be a 50/50 split between online voting and a panel of super secret judges that will try all the entries and vote for their favorites. The results will be totaled to crown the winners of each category.
HOW IT WORKS:
1. Create a special pizza as your entry in the contest.
2. Submit your registration form (below) to the SBID Office by October 1st to ensure inclusion on promo materials.
3. Offer the pizza as a special item in your business for the promotional period running October 6-31st during National Pizza Month and promote your creation.
4. Customers can vote for your pizza online at superiorbid.com from October 6-31st.
5. The entry with a combination of the most votes from customers and our panel of judges will win the title of Pizza War Champion in each category, plus a special promo package for their business and of course bragging rights. Winner will be revealed November 1st.
THE RULES:
1. Contest is open to ALL food related businesses (restaurants, bars, bakeries, etc.) located in the District – not just traditional pizza/Italian places.
2. For the Traditional Pizza Category, the entry must qualify as a pizza – i.e. some form of crust with a sauce & toppings. For the Non-Traditional Pizza Category, the creation must be a “pizza inspired” item. This category includes items such as flat breads, dessert pizzas, pizza inspired waffles, sandwiches/burgers, etc.
3. You may compete in either category or both. If competing in both, you must have two separate pizza creations.
3. Be creative. Submit your most delicious, interesting idea that will catch the customer’s attention.
4. You must display Pizza War table tents and posters in your business to encourage voting (will be provided free of charge by the SBID).
5. Businesses are encouraged to promote their entry through traditional and social media marketing.
