This is a once in a hundred year opportunity to create a sense
of place using landscaping and pedestrian amenities in the core
downtown. Thought was given on how to carry the Center City Park
renovation theme into the Streetscape Plan and address the all
important pedestrian safety component which will enhance
pedestrian movement critical to retail and service group in the
core downtown.
The BID, the City and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation
are holding a public meeting to bring you up to date on the
project and unveil the Streetscape Plan for your comments. Mark
your calendar for Thursday February 18th. Two sessions
will be held, noon and 5:00 p.m. at the Old Post Office in the 3rd
floor courtroom. Your comments and support will help transform
the core downtown into a welcoming business area where people will
want to work, live and play. |
