Holiday Feast
Preparation for Businesses
People eat
with their eyes. If the presentation isn’t fabulous, they won’t
be drawn to the business or the product.” This is a quote from
Cheryl Krueger-Horn, CEO of Cheryl & Co. The holidays are
definitely a “Feast for the Eyes.” It’s never too late to create
a festive and inviting storefront or business with an eye on
increasing traffic and sales.
1. Start with a clean plate. If you have
display windows, make them
sparkle. Sweep the entryways of all your entrances. Dust your
display areas. Keep the floors clean.
2. The
first course could be a creative holiday display in your windows
Pick a theme. If you sell paint, make a
Christmas Tree or a Star of David
out of the paint cans. Use
greenery and lights. A child resides in all of us. Use the old
fashion Christmas theme.
3. The
second course is the aroma of cinnamon, berry or pine as the
customer walks through the door and have holiday music quietly
playing in the background.
4. The third
course is your merchandise displayed with holiday decorations
interspersed. Carry your window theme inside. Create a U pattern
focusing the traffic to the right as they enter.
5. The fourth
course is refreshments such as coffer, hot cider and cookies.
6. For
dessert, offer a small gift for stopping. |
